Our research “Institutional Change of the German Higher Education System: From Professional Dominance to Managed Education” (Markus Reihlen & Ferdinand Wenzlaff) has been published as a book chapter in the Handbook on the Entrepreneurial University (Edward Elgar), edited by Alain Fayolle and Dana Redford.
We can offer a position for doctoral students at the Chair of Strategic Management at Leuphana University of Lüneburg (Prof. Dr. Markus Reihlen).

Hamburg University is currently implementing a new science infomation system. Next to personnel data, information on research grants, collaborative projects, publications, or patents will be systematically gathered and provided in one integrated system. Since both our research projects are concerned with the coordination of research collaborations and the analysis of potential, latent, and invisible collaboration networks (Invisible Colleges), we thought it would be a great idea to consult the project steering committee and see if we may contribute to the project. As expected, both sides had a lot of interesting and novel ideas to exchange. We’re very excited to be part of the project and, thus, will further intensify our cooperation.
Our Workshop at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg in November 2013 has been a great success. Several participants asked if the event will going to be annually repeated. Before we had the chance to further think about that idea, our colleague Elena Druica proposed to organize a follow-up event at the university of Bucharest.
We are happy to invite you to submit a proposal or to participate in the “2nd Workshop in Strategic Change and Organizational Transformation of Higher Education Institutions” at the University of Bucharest conjointly organized by Prof. Elena Druica (University of Bucharest) and Prof. Markus Reihlen (University of Lüneburg).

Beginning on January 1st 2014, the project Integrative control of visible and invisible colleges: configurations of performance indicators in science has officially been launched. The project itself is a collaborative effort of the Chair of Organization and Management (Prof. Dr. Jetta Frost) at the University of Hamburg, the Chair of Management Theory (Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Alfred Kieser) and the Chair of Public Management & Public Policy (Prof. Dr. Rick Vogel) at the Zeppelin University Friedrichshafen.
