The chairs of Management Theory (Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Alfred Kieser) and Public Management & Public Policy (Prof. Dr. Rick Vogel) at Zeppelin University offer two positions for research assistants (each 75% FTE). The positions are associated to our projects and, thus, located at the crossroads of organization and management research, science studies, and higher education research. You’ll find the job description here.
We are proud to announce that we have new partners in our research network: Alfred Kieser and Rick Vogel from Zeppelin University have joined our group and will surely facilitate and enrich our studies on the organization of sciences! From January 1st 2014, two more PhD students will also be engaged at Zeppelin University. The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research is generously funding our collaborative research efforts until 2017 under the label “IndiKon” (Grant No. 01PY13014).
The workshop on strategic change and organizational transformation in higher education institutions will take place next week. As for our last workshop, we generated a word cloud of the program. Besides the core themes of strategy and change, students, resources, markets, as well as management and leadership issues are of high relevance in the abstracts. So is research. Rankings are of minor significance.
We have a new colleague, Hendrik, who is involved in our projects on science studies and university governance (you might have seen our job ad). He will supplement our team from a sociology-of-science perspective. We are glad to have him with us and expect some interesting thoughts in this blog. Again, welcome to the team!
